What does Giraffe do?

Giraffe is an automated mobile recruitment app that aims to help reduce unemployment in South Africa by connecting medium-skilled jobseekers with opportunities and enabling businesses to hire staff faster and cheaper than any other way.

Who is the person we are looking for?

  • You have a university degree
  • You have 2+ years work experience (bonus if in sales or account management)
  • You have great people skills - you enjoy speaking to people all day and can build rapport and trust with a range of people including technical team leads, HR managers, and company executives.
  • You assess client situations in an analytical manner, diagnose issues accurately and treat them as challenges that can be solved;
  • You are structured and process-oriented - able to distill order from chaos and not allow things to fall through the cracks;
  • You communicate clearly and professionally on the phone, in person and via email while being enthusiastic;
  • You have low ego - you should be comfortable with sometimes being wrong and be able to navigate different opinions in the company or with clients.
  • You are interested in, and/or understand technology and software development;
  • You are based in or will move to Johannesburg.
